Bradford’s Austy Miller signs to play for Ohio University

Austy Miller, class of 2022, has signed her NLI to play for the Ohio University Lady Bobcats softball program.

BRADFORD – Lady Railroaders’ senior slugger Austy Miller will take her .633 batting average, 30 RBIs, and 46 stolen bases to Athens next year to continue her academic and athletic career.

“Bradford High School is proud of everything that Austy has accomplished so far,” said Bradford Athletic Director, Chloe Shell Thompson. “We are eager to see her make the transition from Orange and Black to Green.”

As a junior, Miller led her team in every category but strike outs, going down only once in 98-plate appearances.

Miller was an integral half of arguably the best battery in the Ohio, earning First Team All CCC, First Team All-District and First Team All-State honors.

Despite losing an entire season due to the pandemic, Miller’s name is already listed in the records at Bradford High School. Miller batted .619 BA her freshman season including 6-triples, 2-homeruns and 15-stolen bases and is an excellent defensive player behind the plate.

Miller is a three sport athlete for the Lady Railroaders and has received First Team All-Conference cross country and basketball honors.

The 2020-2021 basketball season saw Miller join the 1000 point club and is on track to become the Bradford Lady Railroaders all-time leading scorer.

Miller brings numerous accolades, as well as a State Championship to the Bobcat program; where she will join her sister, Skipp Miller – the other half of the sibling battery. BHS is proud of everything that Austy has accomplished so far, and we are eager to see her make the transition from orange and black to green.
