Bradford Volleyball 2021 Season Preview

BRADFORD – The Lady Railroaders went 3-4 in the conference last year and is looking to improve this year in the newly formed Western Ohio Athletic Conference.

With 7 seniors, 6 with experience, Bradford should be in a good position to compete every night.

Leading the senior group are four – 2-year letter winners; Rylee Canan, Ramse Smith, Zoe Brewer and Karissa Weldy.  Canan has already established the digs record for a season and for a game, so look for her to add to an already impressive number of digs to her career mark as well.

Abby Fike, Nylani Beireis and Maddie Simons are the other seniors on the squad.

Coaching Bradford is Alisha Patty and her goal for the team is very simple.  “We want to be successful but also have fun too.”

“Offensively we are going to use all our assets from the back row to all our hitters.  We don’t one to focus on just one type of game,” Patty stated.

On defense you can expect to see them to  line up in a 6-2 or 5-1.

“We have need to believe in one another and not get down on ourselves.  We can beat anyone if we have the right mindset,” Patty added.

Patty see Tri-Village, Franklin Monroe, Arcanum and Preble Shawnee as teams to beat this year in the WOAC.
