Bethel Lady Bees down Franklin Monroe

Injury plagued Lady Jets fall to 14-2 Bethel Lady Bees

PITSBURG – The Franklin Monroe Lady Jets dropped a non-conference matchup to the Bethel Lady Bees 45-24 in Monday play.

Bethel jumped out to a 14-0 first quarter lead before the Lady Jets put 5-points on the board to give the visitors a 14-5 lead after one period of play.

The teams struggled to get much offense going in the second with the Lady Bees taking the period 6-4 sending the teams to the break with the visitors holding a 20-9 lead.

Period No. 2 had Bethel earning a double digit advantage 15-5 giving the Lady Bees a 35-14 lead with three quarters in the book.

The teams battled to a 10-10 fourth quarter score giving the Lady Bees a 45-24 road win.

With the win, Bethel improves to 14-2 and 7-2 in Three Rivers Conference (TRC) play. Franklin Monroe falls to 2-15 and 2-6 in Western Ohio Athletic Conference (WOAC) action.
