Injury Accident Rt 127 & Sebring Warner

NEWS RELEASE

On August 19th, 2021 at approximately 5:41 p.m. Darke County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Greenville Township Rescue, and Greenville Township Fire Department responded to the intersection of US Route 127 and Sebring Warner Road, on an injury accident.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a Gold 2002 Saturn sedan, driven by Karen Mikolic (78), of Greenville, had stopped at the stop sign on Sebring Warner Road, on the west side of the intersection of US Route 127. Ms. Mikolic traveled across US Route 127, failing to yield the right of way to a north bound Ford Escape on US Route 127, driven by Brian Wood (45), of Versailles. Ms. Mikolic struck Mr. Wood’s vehicle on the front driver’s side. Mr. Wood was transported to Wayne Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Ms. Mikolic was treated at the scene.

This accident remains under investigation.
