Ansonia Volleyball 2021 Season Preview

ANSONIA – The Lady Tiger finished 3-7 last year in the CCC but will be returning a good majority of the team to compete in the newly formed Western Ohio Athletic Conference.

The Tigers are coached by Darcy Buckingham and she notes that her teams strengths this year will be lots of experience (10 returning letter winners) and great leadership.

“If we can stay healthy, work hard, learn to communicate better and become more consistent from game to game than I believe we can finish strong in the conference,” Buckingham stated.

She also sees Tri-Village, Arcanum, Franklin Monroe and Preble Shawnee as teams to beat.

Our goal is to reach 12+ wins and be in the top half WOAC and winning a few tournament games, Darcy said.
