Alvera J. Mertz, 92, of New Weston, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Briarwood Village in Coldwater, Ohio.

Alvera was a caring and selfless person. She raised a family of 13, along side her husband, Robert, while also caring for her own mother. Alvera and Robert made thousands of rosaries over the years that they donated to various missions and prisons. She was a life-long member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Burkettsville, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild.
